The image of Our Lady of Walsingham was installed in 2012, and was carved in Poland by Tadensz Pieczonka and painted by Gordon Gillick.

The seated image of Our Lady in ancient times was recognised as Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom, linked with the visit of the Magi, the Wise Men of the Epiphany.

The image is made so that Our Lady can be separated from her throne, and with the crown, halo and lily removed, she holds her divine Son in the Epiphany crib.

One of the concerns of the Church in our days is the formation and training of lay people; this we do under the patronage of Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom.

We also make our prayers for the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham, and for the unity of Christ's Church.

Our Lady, seat of Wisdom: Pray for us.
