The woodwork of the console has been improved by a talented restorer, Hugh Brock.

Together with the terraced stop jambs, the console will suit the style of the instrument.

The detail is not good enough to see the improvement it its full glory. The lower picture shows the Gern plate above the keyboards, above is a detail to the restoration.

The new console is placed in the frame of the original Gregorian Organ. Recently some information has come to light regarding that instrument, and one of them in original condition has been located. It has to be said that the description of the tone was not altogether complimentary, but it needs to be remembered that it was a pioneering instrument. More information may be forthcoming.
