Confirmation Preparation

The Sacrament of Confirmation is given to adults and children in school year 7 and above (aged 12+). Preparation for children takes place over three Saturdays in the year for children in school years 4 and over; in other words, any child who has received First Holy Communion in invited to attend.

The first session was on Saturday 3rd November, and will always be on the first Saturday after the beginning of the second half of each school term (for those who think of three terms) or the first Saturday after the beginning of even numbered terms (for those who think of six terms).

The session begins at 10.00 am, and will end with the evening Mass which starts at 6.00, and ends about 7.00 pm. Children are asked to bring a packed lunch, and a light tea will be provided, as well as drinks throughout the day.

It is absolutely necessary that those preparing for Confirmation attend Mass each Sunday.
